Process Flow : Purchase Order and Good Receipt Posting
If you post GR in a warehouse managed plant/storage location ... What is the effect ?
1. The system will generate transfer requirement automatically (which is the basis document for the subsequent putaway).
2. The system posts the Good Receipted quantity into the goods receipt zone for the external procurements This material is shown as quant(s) in the interim storage type.
In both IM and WM the flow of the goods is controlled using the movements types.
The WM has its own sets of movements types which are linked to its IM counterparts in customizing tables.
The document header of TR shows both movements types.
Some WM movements types are summarized to one IM movement type and vice versa.
